Masashi Kishimoto

M asashi Kishimoto is a Japanese mangaka (manga artist), became famous for his manga Naruto, born 8 November 1974 at Nagi in Okoyama Prefecture, Japan. He has a twin brother named Seishi Kishimoto who is also a mangaka. At an early age Kishimoto has a passion for drawing, even thaw he was a bad draftsman, he continued to practice and improving his skills. Once at high-school he dropped his dream thinking it was impossible, he even thought about starting a sport career but he finds out it was impossible; one day why he was riding his bicycle he noticed a poster about a movie called akira, that was what kishimoto needed to start his mangaka career, the flames of his old dream were revived.                         Kishimoto worked on a numerous manga prototypes such as Asian Punk, but it was only at the age of 20 that he received The Hop Step Award, delivered by Shueisha editions, for his work karakuri.                         Kishimoto started a new based on ramen; inspired from his birthplace, the military training base near, and some of his friends … that’s how the well-known Naruto series started.
